Art of Fiction was created in 2008 by House of Secrets Owner Paul Grimshaw and store manager Erik Warfield during a three day drinking spell at Ape Con. Fueled by libation, the pair quickly learned that producing comics and art books seemed much easier under the warm glow of a bar light, and that when the morning came the cold reality was that it was hard work. Warfield serves as head writer and secretary, while Grimshaw mostly plots and serves as chief knee breaker. Five years in they have produced 8 sketchbooks, two anthologies, and two comic book titles, all produced as designed, without any unnecessary marketing agenda.
